Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions and are to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing. They do not affect your statutory rights.

Payment

We require payment in full at the time you place your order. Payment can be made by either debit or credit card, or cheque payable to GFS World of Furniture Ltd and sent by post to:

Secure Online Payment

Your security is of the utmost importance. With this in mind, we use the UK's most secure online payment provider using the latest encryption methods.

This is to ensure that all confidential information sent between you and us is safe; PayPal use the latest fraud prevention tools.

You can buy online with the peace of mind that comes with knowing your information and your identity is safe from theft.

All of your sensitive information is kept off-site, on remote, highly secure servers for added security.

VAT: All orders placed in the UK are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax). VAT is included in our prices at the standard set rate of 20%.

An Email Confirmation or Order Number given over the telephone does not constitute the order has been processed or that a contract has been formed until we have reviewed the payment through Paypal Fraud Prevention Software.

Delivery
We use a one man carrier service who will deliver to the door of the property/building only. If you live in a flat or apartment above the ground floor the item will only be delivered to the door of the building - not to the door of your flat/apartment. Please ensure someone is on hand to assist the driver. Occasionally with our larger chairs, the box may not fit through a standard doorway so additional assistance is recommended. All deliveries require a signature.

All delivery dates and times quoted are approximate. Whilst every practical effort will be made to accommodate customer’s requirements no guarantee of time can be given.

Where a delivery date has been agreed with our carrier but the customer isn’t present to receive the delivery we reserve the right to charge the customer a minimum of £25 to cover part of the cost of the failed delivery.

No claims will be accepted for inconvenience, loss etc caused by unexpected or unavoidable delays in delivery.

Cancellation will not be accepted once goods have been reserved, stored, cut or despatched by our selves, or by our suppliers. Orders are only accepted on this basis.

Returns & Money Back Guarantee

We want you to be delighted with your purchase. That being said, we know it can be difficult to purchase a recliner chair without sitting in it first. To help reassure you we offer the following guarantee.

"If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason whatsoever you may, within 14 days after the date of delivery, return your goods."

Some Points To Remember

If you decide to return your goods, then you can either arrange to return the goods yourself, or we can collect them for you. If you choose to use our collection service then you will be charged £35, which will be deducted from your refund.

Please be aware we use a one-man delivery and collection service, please ensure someone is on hand to assist the driver.

Items must be returned in their original packaging. Items which are not adequately packaged at time of collection, may be refused by the courier and a charge of £25 may be levied to cover the cost of the failed collection.

Monies relating to the returned goods will be refunded within 28 days of receipt of goods. Where you the customer have paid for a premium delivery service, i.e. Before 12 noon or before 9:30am we will only refund the full amount for the chair, not including the delivery cost.

If no notification by phone, email or in writing has been received by Recliners Chairs within 14 days of delivery, you shall be deemed to have accepted the goods.

PLEASE NOTE: SWIVEL RECLINERS CANNOT BE RETURNED ONCE ASSEMBLED

Specifications Dimensions

Whilst most products are made from identically machined components to a standard specification, individual hand upholstering may vary slightly from different operatives.

All dimensions are therefore approximate. Due to a policy of continuous improvement, manufacturers reserve the right to modify designs, specifications and materials without prior notification.

Manufacturers Guarantees

Guarantees vary from 12 months up to 15 years. Terms of guarantees vary from manufacturer to manufacturer generally to replace faulty parts only and do not include transport and labour after the first 12 months from date of delivery.

Whilst replacement parts may be guaranteed for longer periods; after 12 months a standard call out charge of £45 + vat will apply to cover costs for a home visit.

Order Tracking

All orders dispatched from us have full delivery tracking available. Your tracking number is emailed to you or we can text you.

Colours

Sample cuttings, swatches and on screen colours are approximate and can vary within normal commercial tolerances.

Colour variations are unavoidable from one dye batch to another. Exact matching cannot be guaranteed from different batches, different widths or if ordered at different times. Colours change dramatically under different lighting conditions.

Health & Safety

(Electric Lift or Recline chairs).

To avoid accidents with children and pets whilst the chair is unsupervised, we recommend that the power supply be disconnected when the chair is not in use. When applicable remove the safety key from the handset to disable the chair. When using the chair in the lift or recline position ensure that children and pets are kept away from the chair. The chair will stop immediately if you take your fingers off the hand control.

When the footrest is in the open position ensure that no unnecessary downward force is applied, to prevent damage to the scissor action. Always keep the chair away from the wall to avoid the back hitting the wall and causing damage to the motor.

Title

Whilst the risk in the goods shall pass to the purchaser on delivery the title to the goods shall not pass to the purchaser until full payment of the purchase price has been received by Recliners Chairs part of GFS World of Furniture, and clearance of all cheques and/or credit card payments obtained.
